LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Following Nebraska’s 24-13 loss to Illinois – and what is now four-straight losses for the Huskers – head coach Matt Rhule released a statement on Saturday morning, announcing that Dana Holgorsen has been relieved of his duties as offensive coordinator. In the last four games, Nebraska has averaged just 13.5 points per game, after averaging 43.6 in the first five contests of 2026.

Holgorsen’s tenure with Nebraska began in 2024, where he eventually served as offensive coordinator for the final three games that season.

Taking over for Holgorsen will be co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Glenn Thomas.

The Huskers will look to break their four-game skid next Saturday, Nov. 14 at Rutgers. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. CT and will be broadcasted on Big Ten Network.
