Day of Giving brings people into Jersey Mike’s for a cause

LINCOLN, Neb (KLKN) – Customers all over the country sandwiched themselves into Jersey Mike’s Subs on Wednesday.

Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving is a yearly tradition in which every dollar that comes in is donated to different charities.

John Eggerss, a Jersey Mike’s employee in Lincoln, commented on the importance of this event.

“We’ll see all of our regulars today, but this is also an opportunity to reach a lot of people that wouldn’t normally come in. Just, you know, it’s a great deal to come in and 100% of your proceeds donated.”

The two Jersey Mike’s restaurants in Lincoln will give 100% of Wednesday’s sales to TeamMates Mentoring of Lincoln, an organization that provides young people with a mentor to help affirm strengths, build confidence and more.

Jersey Mike’s hopes to exceed last year’s record-breaking national fundraising total of $20 million and help local charities striving to make a difference.
