UPDATE: 20-year-old dies after motorcycle vs. vehicle accident

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) –

UPDATE: Lincoln Police have confirmed that a 20-year-old was killed in a motorcycle vs. vehicle accident near South 40th and Pine Lake Road. Police have not yet released the name of the person killed as they work to notify next of kin.

Police said the vehicle involved turned left onto Pine Lake Road from 38th Street when the motorcycle hit the back end of the vehicle.

While the area around the accident was closed for multiple hours, police say the area is now open.


Lincoln Police are on scene of a possible fatal accident involving a motorcycle. It happened near 40th and Pine Lake Road shortly before 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Police have much of the area blocked off as they investigate the crash. If traveling, you are advised to avoid the area.

A Channel 8 reporter at the accident reports seeing a body at the scene of the crash along with a motorcycle.
