A local animal center threw an Easter party for some furry friends to enjoy the holiday.
“Certain tennis balls are marked that have treats in them and when the dogs find them we’ll give them cookies,” said Serryn Lenners, a vet assistant.
The Nebraska Animal Medical and Emergency Center held a puppy party for clients to let their pets have some safe fun in the sun.
Dogs could run and play and catch tennis balls to their heart’s content. A trainer wants all essential workers to know the center is still open if you need a place for your pet to stay.
“Thank you to every single first responder out there every single person working in grocery stores, truck drivers, restaurants, personnel every single person who is risking their lives going outside and interacting with everyone,” says Savannah Elmore. “We appreciate everything you do and if you ever need anything we’re all happy and here to help you and support you.”
The pups received lots of playtime and treats before the event was over. Again, just a safe way for dogs to have some fun during social distancing.
