Driver walks home after flipping car into ditch west of Lincoln, sheriff’s office says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A driver walked home Thursday morning after flipping his car into a ditch west of Lincoln, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says.

Deputies were sent to the single-car rollover around 3:20 a.m. near Southwest 92nd and West O Streets.

When deputies arrived, they couldn’t find the driver or any passengers.

The sheriff’s office says the driver, a 27-year-old man, had walked to his nearby home after crashing the car.

Deputies cited the man on suspicion of careless driving, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and not wearing a seat belt.

No one was injured in the crash.
