Drone sighting reports slowing down, about 150 deemed credible

Authorities say after an influx of drone sightings last week, reports have slowed down.

The Nebraska State Patrol says around 450 sightings were reported to the Nebraska Information Analysis Center (NIAC). Of those, only about 150 met the criteria authorities were looking for. A patrol spokesman said it’s also possible some of those were duplicate reports.

Officials are interested in the following information from drone reports: location and direction of travel, lights or colors and patterns of lights, size and shape, and what the drones sound like. They’re also looking for clusters of drones as opposed to single devices.
