Drying out later today 1/27/2021
Light snow is currently falling across southeast Nebraska and is resulting in light snow accumulations from a dusting up to 2″. The heavier snow will likely fall near the KS border, and while this isn’t a lot of snow, it will result in a messy morning commute. Some of Monday’s snow melted yesterday and froze again last night. This has resulted in many icy spots on the roads, and now those spots are covered with light snow from this morning. Temperatures are also cold as we start off this Wednesday, with current wind chill values in the single digits and below zero. So layer up and keep the layers on today because highs will only be in the low 20s with the morning snow wrapping up by noon today. We remain dry for the rest of the week, and will also see a minor warming trend.
