Early vote ballots mailed out starting today for Statewide General Election

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Today, Lancaster County Election Commissioner Todd Wiltgen announced that his office has begun mailing early vote ballots.

According to Wiltgen, 34,000 early vote ballot requests processed. 360 requests were unable to be processed.

In-person voting begins on Oct. 5.

Voters have until Oct. 23 to request an early vote ballot by mail for the Nov. 3 election.

The Lancaster County Election Commissioner reminded the public that the penalty for falsification is imprisonment for up to two years or a fine not to exceed $10,000, or both.
