LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Facebook friendship ended almost as quickly as it began late Thursday evening.

Around 9 p.m., a man called Lincoln Police and said he had been robbed at his apartment near 33rd and O Streets.

The man said he had arranged a meeting with a woman whom he had met on Facebook about a month ago, police said.

When the woman arrived at the apartment, she asked the victim to come out to the parking lot to make sure she was parked in the right spot.

Once in the lot, an unknown male suddenly grabbed the victim while the woman grabbed his wallet, according to police.

The two then left the parking lot in a silver SUV, police said.

The victim said his wallet held about $4,582.

An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
