Fatal Accident at Highway 30 and Webb Rd.

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KLKN) – The Grand Island Police Department received a call at 7:49am on Thursday, October 14th detailing a serious accident near the intersection of Highway 30 and Webb Road.

The accident involved a black, full- size Dodge pick up, and a motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 52- year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nebraska State Patrol and the Hall County Sheriff’s Department have an on-going reconstruction and investigation.

At this time the pickup is believed to have been headed Eastbound on Highway 30, turning left to head North onto Webb Road when the motorcycle collided with the front fender of the pickup.

At this time, the investigation indicates the speed of the motorcycle is a major contributing factor, and there are no charges pending against the driver of the pick up.

At this time both drivers identities will remain withheld.
