You should feel comfortable in a light jacket this morning, but you definitely won’t need any layers later today! Highs are expected to reach the upper 70s and low 80s, making it feel more like late May. Southerly winds are the biggest reason for this warmth, and they will be a bit breezy throughout the day. Clouds will also thicken up as we get to the second half of your Wednesday, so enjoy the morning sunshine while we have it. They hang around overnight and temperatures only fall to the mid to upper 50s. Scattered thunderstorms are likely overnight, but mainly early tomorrow morning. These storms and showers will linger into the rest of your Thursday, so keep the rain gear handy. Rain chances continue into Friday, but every single rain chance isn’t looking like a washout. The rain will be hit or miss during the day with the potential for stronger storms Friday afternoon and evening. The area is under a slight risk for severe weather, so we will continue to update you on the threat in the coming days. Temperatures remain mild with highs in the 70s through Friday, before they eventually cool into the 60s for the weekend.
