Finally drying out
After a LOT of rain to end September, October is looking much drier.
A new record was set in Lincoln for the most amount of rain to fall in one day. That area shaded in red above had rainfall reports between 4 and 10 inches of rain.
Millard and Elkhorn had a couple of the higher totals. Both were above 8″.
In central Nebraska, Geneva, Fairmont, and Exeter had over 5″ of rain.
For Lincoln, we surpassed the old 1 day rainfall record by over half an inch!
The month of September saw the 4th most rainfall for an entire month.
For September specifically, Lincoln blew by the old record of 8.32″ set in 1914. Wasn’t even close.
Now we quiet down. With lots of sunshine, it’ll be a cool, October Friday across the state.
