Fire damages Schuyler bakery

SCHUYLER, Neb. (AP) _ A bakery in downtown Schuyler has been heavily damaged by fire, but firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading.
The Columbus Telegram reports the fire was reported around 8:45 p.m. Saturday. Schuyler Fire Chief Brad Sock says the building that caught fire was used as a bakery and kitchen for Tienda Mexicana Chichihualco across the street.

The building sustained roughly $75,000 damage and nearby Homestead Bank sustained some smoke damage. But there weren’t any injuries.
