South Lincoln Mexican restaurant closing its doors on Thursday

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — El Potrero Mexican Restaurant in south Lincoln is closing its doors on Thursday.

In a Facebook post on Monday, the restaurant — located near 40th Street and Old Cheney Road — said it was closing to focus fully on its downtown location.

“You can expect the same great taste and the same incredible staff,” the restaurant said. “We are grateful for the support, loyalty, and kindness you have shown our south location over the years. Thank you for being part of our story.”

According to the restaurant, the last day of operation will be April 30.

All previously purchased gift cards will continue to be honored at the downtown location, the restaurant said.
