LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A caller claimed there was a fire inside St. Mary’s Catholic church in Lincoln early Thursday morning, but nothing was found.

That’s according to Lincoln Fire & Rescue, which says the unknown person also told authorities their friend was injured.

Crews never came across anyone.  This all started around 3 a.m. near 14th and K Streets.

More than a dozen units responded, and the scene was cleared about 30 minutes later.

LFR told Channel 8 that the Lincoln Police Department is investigating.
