Firearm stolen from vehicle, yet to be located
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — On Sunday, around 6:45 a.m., Lincoln police responded to the 700 block of South 12th Street on a report of a larceny from auto. Officers made contact with 26-year-old Davonte Webster.
Webster said he had left a .40 caliber handgun in the backseat of his unlocked vehicle, around 6 a.m. When he returned around 3 p.m., he discovered that someone had entered his vehicle and stole his firearm.
Webster said he thought he placed the firearm under a sweatshirt.
Officers processed the scene for evidence and cited Webster for leaving a firearm unattended in a vehicle.
