Five Husker softball players earn Big Ten postseason honors

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several Husker softball players were awarded Big Ten postseason honors on Wednesday.
Billie Andrews, Brooke Andrews and Katelyn Caneda all earned first-team All-Big Ten honors.
Caneda also earned spots on the All-Freshman and All-Defensive teams. She is joined by teammate Mya Felder on the All-Defensive team.
To round out the Husker honorees, Abbey Newlun was announced as the team’s Big Ten Sportsmanship recipient.
Nebraska finished out its season with a 33-19 record last Sunday after a loss to Ohio State.
The Huskers, who received a bye with a fourth-place finish, are set to play in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday at 7 p.m.
The game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
