Food Bank of Lincoln and United Way talk about new delivery program

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The United Way, Food Bank of Lincoln and DoorDash are partnering up this holiday season to deliver meals throughout the community

Each week, Dashers pick up bags of shelf-stable food organized by the food bank and deliver them at no cost to neighbors who are unable to access food on their own, including veterans.

Last year, the program made 9,800 deliveries in Lincoln and Lancaster County.

Head to the food bank’s website for more information or to volunteer.

For assistance in receiving weekly deliveries of shelf-stable food through Ride United Last Mile Delivery, please contact 402-466-8170, ext. 1987.
