Food vendors invited to apply for a spot at Lincoln’s Uncle Sam Jam

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln’s annual Uncle Sam Jam is just a few months away, and the city is getting ready for the festivities.
Lincoln Parks and Recreation is encouraging food vendors to join in on the celebration.
Parks and Rec is currently accepting applications for eight vendors to sell their goods at the event.
Applications are now being accepted until March 31 at 4:30 p.m.
The Uncle Sam Jam is set for July 3rd between 4 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. at Oak Lake Park, with a rain check set for July 5th.
“This is the city’s largest free annual event,” said Park Operations Manager Chris Myers in a press release. “It’s a great opportunity for Lincolnites to support local businesses and for vendors to share their products with the public, all during a fun community celebration.”
To apply, vendors must contact Jamie Granquist by phone at 402-441-7847 or by email at JGranquist@lincoln.ne.gov.
Vendors who applied will be notified if they have been selected by April 28th.
An application fee of $100 is required, and vendors who aren’t selected will have that money refunded.
Parks and Rec also asks applicants to provide a list of merchandise to prevent overlaps in food selection.
