Roby went into the NBA Draft after the 2018-19 season, in which he averaged 11.8 points and 1.9 assists per game with the Huskers.
He was selected 45th by the Dallas Mavericks and signed a four-year, $6.7 million contract. Shortly after, he was traded to the Thunder for center Justin Patton.
At the time, Roby was the first Husker men’s basketball player to be drafted into the NBA in two decades.
Since then, Bryce McGowens and Dalano Banton were taken in the second round of their respective NBA Drafts.
