LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A former Nebraska school employee was sentenced in federal court for distribution of child pornography.

Brandon Lanza will spend the next 11 years behind bars with no chance of parole.

Law enforcement first began investigating Lanza back in 2019 after getting reports from Discord and Facebook.

They revealed a user was distributing child porn in chats while also detailing plans to sexually abuse specific kids.

Investigators noticed the user sometimes logged on from an IP address associated with Omaha Public Schools, where Lanza was working as an IT/Network Administrator.

Lanza will serve an additional 10 years of supervised release after he gets out of prison.
