In her new role, Price will work closely with the LPS Executive Cabinet on the school district’s goal of strengthening equity, diversity and inclusion; meet regularly with the LPS superintendent and make recommendations regarding school district policies and procedures related to equity; work closely with the LPS equity, diversity and multicultural administrator to advance the initiatives of the LPS Multicultural Office; and serve as a liaison between LPS administration and principals to advance cultural proficiency work at schools.

“We are excited to have Dr. Price involved with the Executive Cabinet,” said LPS Superintendent Steve Joel. “She has had a distinguished LPS career as an educator and administrator. She brings vast experience to our work developing strategies to increase staff diversity and assist the district in strengthening inclusion and equity for all students and staff.”

Price began her career with LPS as a fourth-grade teacher at Humann Elementary School in 1990. In 2011, she was named North Star principal, a role she held until 2018 when she moved to the Human Resources Department at LPS District Office.
