Former supervisor at Community Corrections Center-Lincoln is arrested

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A supervisor at the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln let an inmate use a state-issued cellphone, authorities say.
The Nebraska State Patrol arrested 57-year-old Kelly Surrounded, a behavioral health practitioner supervisor, on Wednesday.
He has resigned from his job, according to the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services.
Under Nebraska law, allowing a prisoner to “have unauthorized visitation or communication” is a Class IV felony.
If Surrounded is convicted, he could serve up to two years in prison.
