Four Omaha teens arrested in brutal slaying of 62-year-old man
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Four teens have been arrested in the slaying of a 62-year-old man who was beaten with an aluminum baseball bat, Omaha Police said Friday.
About 4 p.m. on Oct. 31, officers were sent to an area near 38th and Cuming Streets and found Daniel Price suffering from a head wound.
Price, who was unresponsive, was then taken to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries about two weeks later.
Police have now made four arrests in the case: two boys ages 16 and 15 and two 13-year-old girls.
The 15-year-old was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
Both girls were arrested on suspicion of being an accessory to a felony and tampering with evidence.
Police say the 16-year-old male was also arrested on suspicion of being an accessory to a felony, while also being charged with a probation violation.
All four were booked at the Douglas County Youth Center, according to police.
