Friendship Home: Resources for Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Safe Quarters is Friendship Home’s largest event raising over $140,000 each year to ensure that their shelter doors remain open.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Friendship Home of Lincoln will be sharing resources, blog posts, and videos on their Facebook page and website throughout the month.
Friendship Home’s biggest fundraiser of the year is happening virtually now through October 17th. Safe Quarters is their annual door to door drive and awareness campaign. This has been moved online for the 2nd year for the safety of the community and volunteers.

“Not only does this event raise funds needed for our programs that help rebuild lives, but it also brings awareness to domestic violence and the services offered by Friendship Home,” Community Outreach Coordinator, Nichole Palmer said.
Donations can also be dropped of at any Union Bank now through the end of October.
