Gage County Fairgounds mural completed after 67 hours of painting
BEATRICE, Neb. (KLKN) — The Gage County Fairgrounds mural is complete after nearly three days of painting. Students artists from Beatrice High School (BHS) showed up each day to make the mural come alive.
The mural represents the Gage County Fair and the community, showing pictures of pigs, FFA, popcorn and even a checkered flag.
The Gage County Fair and Expo consists of 4-H and FFA exhibits, races at the Beatrice Speedway and carnival rides, all showcased on the mural.
The background of the mural showcases words that the community uses to describe Gage County including fun, fast, ride and more.
Three students painted the majority of the hours while an extra four students helped when their scheduled allowed.
Art at BHS stated they were grateful to leave a lasting piece of art for the Gage County Fair and community.
