Galentine’s market encourages shoppers to buy locally

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A holiday market inspired by the adopted TV holiday Galentine’s Day welcomed hundreds of guests looking for the perfect gift.

Whether they were looking for a loved one, friends or just treating themselves, there was something on the market for customers to buy.

All 30 vendors in today’s show were personally invited by the events host Creative Collabs.

Co-owners Melanie Rezac and Natasha Hoyer said it’s important to have face-to-face relationships on both sides of the market.

“People are more aware of the need for small business,” Hoyer said.

The two said that vendor events give a platform for small business owners to market their products.

“I think it’s important to people to keep their money and their funds local,” Hoyer said.

After spending the morning shopping, guests with repurchased tickets could enjoy a complimentary brunch.
