Game and Parks to certify youth fishing instructors

Young fishing aficionados can now seek certification from the Nebraska Game and Parks!

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)-Nebraska Game and Parks Commission announced that they will be certifying youth fishing instructors at workshops in the coming months in Kearney and Lincoln.

Instructors will be part of the Youth Fishing Program, a statewide team of volunteers and staff with Game and Parks who host educational fishing events.

Workshop participants will have access to GAme and Parks’ loaner fishing equipment and educational material. They’ll also get program incentives!

The Lincoln training will happen at the Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center at 4703 N. 44th Street on April 18 and May 16.

The Kearney training will be at the Nebraska Firefighter Museum at 2834 E. 1st Street.

All trainings will be held from 2-6 p.m.
