Gloomy & cold ending to the week 1/22/2021

We are off to a cold start on this Friday morning with temperatures ranging from the 10–20s. Wind chill values are making it feel more like the single digits and teens for most of the area though, so make sure you bundle up before you leave. You will want the layers for the entire day today because mostly cloudy to overcast skies will limit much warming around the area. High temperatures will top out in the low 30s today and a few snow flurries are possible in central Nebraska. Our snow chances increase into the weekend, with snow falling Saturday evening and light snow falling on Sunday. We could see minor accumulations from a trace up to an inch through Sunday.

  • TODAY: Mostly cloudy skies with highs in the low 30s and the chance for snow flurries. HIGH: 31
  • SATURDAY: Another cold day with overcast skies. Snow showers are likely in the evening and through Sunday. HIGH: 31
  • SUNDAY: Light snow flurries/winter mix possible throughout the day. HIGH: 35
  • MONDAY: Accumulating snow likely with highs only in the upper 20s. HIGH: 28
  • TUESDAY: Partly cloudy skies with the chance for snow in the afternoon and evening. HIGH: 27
