Gov. Pillen says Nebraska Task Force 1 is ready for hurricane assistance

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — On Oct. 9, Gov. Jim Pillen announced that Nebraska Task Force 1 (NE-TF1) is on standby as Hurricane Isaias is set to hit tonight.

The hurricane is set to hit the Gulf Coast as early as 8 p.m. Multiple states have begun evacuating.

Pillen said NE-TF1 is an urban search and rescue team, and will closely monitor calls for emergency management assistance.

“Nebraska stands ready to help our fellow Americans any way we can,” Pillen wrote.
