Grand Island Police investigating suspected homicide

The body of a 30-year-old man was found Tuesday morning by GIPD officers at a Grand Island apartment complex.

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KLKN) – Grand Island Police (GIPD) are investigating a suspected homicide in an apartment complex at 303 South Pine Street.

Around 6 a.m. on Tuesday GIPD received a call for an injured person at the apartment complex.

Officers arrived and found a deceased 30-year-old man, last known to be homeless, with an apparent puncture wound.

An investigation is currently ongoing with assistance from the South Central Area Law Enforcement Services.
