LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A 14-year-old girl threatened to kill a police officer after being pulled over for driving without headlights on Friday, said Grand Island police.

The teenager was driving near the center of the city around 11:20 p.m. without lights when officers initiated a traffic stop.

As an officer approached the vehicle the teen sped away into a residential neighborhood, said police.

Officers determined that the 14-year-old did not have a valid driver’s license and later found her at the address of the registered vehicle.

She then told the officer that she would kill them while she continued to pull away.

The 14-year-old was cited for Terroristic Threats, Flight to Avoid Arrest in Motor Vehicle, No Operator’s License, Resisting Arrest & No Headlights.
