Hannah Huston releases first album

You may recognize Hannah Huston for her time on The Voice back in 2016, where she went on to win second runner up on her season.

Since then, the Grand Island native has been busy with her music, and on Friday, November 16, released her first album: Believe in Christmas

“I absolutely adore Christmas, there’s no one who loves Christmas more than me, so it’s kind of funny that my first album is a Christmas album, but, here we are,” Huston said.

Recording for the album began in the heat of summer, and from the musicians, to the recording studio and the producers, everything on this album is locally sourced, right here in Nebraska.

“There’s talent here – there’s just no need to go elsewhere, and it just was really fun to have it be very local,” Huston said.

Huston says the sound for the album was inspired by her Christmas concerts at the Lied Center last year.

She wanted the album to sound as live as possible, so she didn’t do much editing to her voice, wanting it to still sound like her.

“It definitely sounds like the concert itself, I mean we didn’t really change a whole lot, we just took what we’ve been doing live and tried to capture it on an album,” she said.

Hannah is excited for people to get their hands on this album, which features two original songs, along with several classic Christmas favorites.

Her CD release concert will be December 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Rococo Theatre, where hard copies of her CD can be bought.  You can get tickets here

She wants the concert to be something her fans in her home state can really enjoy.

“Nebraska has been amazing to me, and it wasn’t a surprise, I mean I’ve grown up here, this is my place,” Huston said.

Hannah’s album is being streamed on all digital platforms (iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify, etc.) and is also available in hard copy.
