‘Happy tears’: Oliver the missing dog reunited with Lincoln family
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A dog who went missing from a Lincoln Petco on Saturday has been reunited with its family.
Oliver, a 3-year-old cattle dog mix, was able to push his way out of a kennel and ran out of Petco, according to owner Paige Munstermann.
Shortly after, someone saw Oliver get hit by a car and limp away.
International pet detective Karin Tarquwyn, who has helped find missing pets from Omaha, Lincoln and even Ecuador, was called in to help find Oliver.
Community members also made several posts on Facebook to spread awareness.

On Tuesday, Oliver was reunited with the Munstermann family after an animal control officer found him.
Donna Ruhnke-Paneitz, Paige’s mother, said in a Facebook post that Oliver has since been taken to a vet to be checked out.
“Happy tears! Oliver is found!” Ruhnke-Paneitz said in a Facebook video.
