LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln North Star Gators improved to 2-0 on Friday night at Seacrest Field in a 49-18 win over new rival Lincoln Northwest in Channel 8’s Game of the Week.
North Star (2-0) got out the gates quickly in the game, scoring 14 points in the early stages. Northwest (1-2) fought back to make it 14-6, but the Gators added a pair of scores right before halftime, the second coming from quarterback Eli Schafer who scrambled in for a touchdown. From there, North Star never looked back in the win.
