LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Former Nebraska football tight end Heinrich Haarberg signed with the Carolina Panthers, the Huskers announced on social media.

Haarberg spent five years at Nebraska, both as a quarterback and tight end.

As a tight end in 2025, the Kearney native hauled in eight catches for 52 yards and one touchdown, while also carrying the ball nine times for 9 yards.

Though Haarberg didn’t show much at the tight end position during the season, his size and athleticism were put on display at Nebraska’s Pro Day.

He ran a 4.55-second 40-yard dash and a 10-foot-8-inch broad jump, both elite grades according to Relative Athletic Score.
