House, vehicles damaged by gunfire in northwest Lincoln, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating after several shots were fired in a northwest Lincoln neighborhood early Wednesday morning.
Around 12:50 a.m., multiple people reported hearing one to eight shots fired outside of a home near Northwest 54th Street and West Knight Drive.
Police say a window had been damaged by gunfire and a bullet was found in the drywall.
Outside the home, officers saw that the gas meter had also been damaged by gunfire, according to police.
On the sidewalk, officers found three spent 9 mm casings and another round that was intact.
During the investigation, additional gunshots were reported north of the home, police say.
Officers went there and found two vehicles that had been damaged by gunfire. Police say seven spent 9 mm casings were located near the vehicles.
