LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- Safe Quarters is typically Friendship Home’s largest event, raising over $100,000 each year to ensure that their shelter doors remain open. Safe Quarters is a one-day community wide and family friendly event that will be happening on Sunday, October 9th.

Nichole Palmer, Community Outreach Coordinator, says the goal is to have 75 team captains help canvas Lancaster County neighborhoods to continue to empower freedom from domestic violence.

“Not only does this event raise funds needed for our programs that help rebuild lives, but it also brings awareness to domestic violence and the services offered by Friendship Home,” Palmer said.
