LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska State Patrol has been extra busy this week as a winter storm pounded the Panhandle.

We’re told troopers responded to 39 crashes and assisted 210 drivers.

NSP asks everyone to keep in mind that Nebraska Department of Transportation crews are still working across the area this Friday.

The agency reminds drivers to give plows plenty of room.

Multiple roads that reopened on Thursday were forced to close back down due to crashes.

Law enforcement urges everyone to slow down, increase following distance, and turn off cruise control.
