Hundreds protest COVID mandates in downtown Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Hundreds of people gathered outside the Nebraska State Capitol on Tuesday to protest medical mandates.

A group called Nebraska’s People Convoy organized the event, inspired by the trucker protests in Canada.

Protesters said they want less government control over their health.

“It all started with Canada truckers, I mean, because, you know, the U.S. has a law right now that really, the truckers can’t even enter in the States, unless they have proof of the vaccine, which isn’t right,” protester Ben Tapper said.
