Hunting on state recreation areas begins today for Nebraskans

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Today, hunting on Nebraska’s state recreation areas (SRA) begins.

Nebraska Game and Parks (NGPC) said that SRA’s are open until the end of spring turkey hunting season, unless restricted.

A Nebraska Vehicle Park Entry Permit is required for vehicles to enter the SRAs and hunting is prohibited within 100 yards of any public-use facility.

NGPC urges hunters to pay attention to signage, wear bright clothing and stay on designated trails.
