Husker baseball’s Emmett Olson, Max Anderson earn Big Ten weekly honors

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska baseball’s Emmett Olson and Max Anderson were awarded Big Ten weekly honors on Monday.

Olson was named Big Ten Pitcher of the Week, and Anderson was named Big Ten Player of the Week.

On Friday, Olson pitched a career-high 7.2 innings, only allowing a pair of hits and a run against Michigan.

Olson struck out eight batters during his time on the mound.

Anderson helped the Huskers to three wins last week with a .389 batting average, which included three home runs, a double, seven RBIs and four runs.

Nebraska will now return to Lincoln for a five-game homestand, which begins with a Tuesday matchup against UNO.
