Husker defense ready to play, excited for tough schedule

Husker players and coaches spoke today on embracing their schedule and bring energy to their game.

LINCOLN – Nebraska players, assistant coaches, and defensive coordinator Erik Chinander talked with the media today over Zoom following practice.

One of the main takeaways from the press conference was Nebraska’s tough fall schedule. The Huskers open their season against the Buckeyes at Ohio State on the 24th followed by hosting the Wisconsin Badgers the next weekend.

“To be the best, you have to beat the best,” said senior LB Jojo Domann. He says he and his team are excited and ready to face the best of the Big Ten.

Senior Deontai Williams also spoke with media this afternoon. After suffering a season-ending shoulder injury in last season’s opener against South Alabama, the safety is ready to prove himself this season.
