Husker football players cited by Lincoln Police

Two Nebraska football players were cited and released by Lincoln Police Friday after a traffic stop.

Defensive backs Marquel Dismuke and Jeremiah Stovall were stopped by officers because Dismuke had no front license plate on his car, police said. Dismuke was cited for driving with a suspended license, which he had a prior offense for, police said.

Stovall, a passenger in the car, was cited for having a small amount of marijuana, police said. Two other Husker players – running backs Maurice Washington and Wan’Dale Robinson – were also cited in recent weeks on marijuana-related offenses.
