Husker volleyball gets second sweep of Brazilian tour
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska volleyball picked up win number two in the Huskers’ second match of their Brazilian tour on Friday.
The Huskers swept the Mackenzie U19 team 25-15, 25-14, 25-17.
Nebraska used a different starting lineup then Thursday’s. Freshman Bergen Reilly played as NU’s setter after Kennedi Orr started on Thursday.
Florida transfer Merritt Beason had a team-high 11 kills with four blocks and an ace to lead the Huskers to their second straight sweep.

Freshman Andi Jackson had eight kills and four blocks, while freshman Harper Murray had eight kills.
Ally Batenhorst recorded seven kills and three blocks, and middle blocker Maggie Mendelson provided six kills and three blocks.
Libero Lexi Rodriguez served three of Nebraska’s six aces, and the Big Red finished with eight blocks as a team.
NU’s third pool-play match will be on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Central against youth players from Dentil Praia Clube.
