Huskers outlast the Buckeyes at home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Husker volleyball team survived a 5 set battle against BIG 10 opponent the Ohio State Buckeyes.

This is the teams second conference win after beating Michigan State on Friday night.

In set number 1, the team fought tough hanging on for the 25-22 set win.

Ohio State would end up taking set number 2 in a close 26 to 24 contest.

The Buckeyes had an easier time in set number 3 beating the Huskers 25 to 19.

Trailing 2 sets to 1 the Huskers needed a win and they got it sending the match to a fifth and final set.

Thanks to a huge block from Madi Kubik the Huskers hung on for the 15 to 13 set win.

The Huskers will start a 4 game road trip next week starting with the University of Rutgers on Friday.

Kubic led the team in kills recording 16 on the night.

Kennedi Orr passed the ball well collecting a team high 20 assists.
