Huskers sweep Penn State on Senior Night

No. 11 Nebraska took three straights from No. 15 Penn State in the Huskers home finale.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – No. 11 Nebraska completed the three-set sweep over No. 15 Penn State on Senior Night at the Devaney (25-14, 25-23, 25-23). Nebraska now has sole-possession of first place in the Big Ten.

After handling the Nittany Lions with ease in the first set, the Huskers came back to win a second-set thriller. Nebraska went on a 6-0 run to win the set 25-23. Freshman Whitney Lauenstein was a spark on the offense with five kills in two sets hitting .500.

Madi Kubik led the Huskers with 12 kills. Lexi Sun recorded eight kills, and Lauren Strivins boasted six kills and seven blocks.

Nebraska hits the road to face Wisconsin on Friday at 4:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.

 

Here is the final point that sealed the match, the serve was long ,but the back official ruled the ball hit a Nittany Lion so the Huskers got the point and the match. After the match the seniors were honored in front of a still full Bob Devaney Center.
