Husker Volleyball Ready For Brutal Final Stretch Of Season

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska volleyball team travels to No. 1 Wisconsin this weekend for a pair of matches.

The Badgers have been consistently ranked at the top of the AVCA poll all season, and beat the Huskers three times during 2019, including eliminating Nebraska from the NCAA Tournament in the regional final.

“It will be a great test for us,” said head coach John Cook.

Nebraska didn’t even win a set against the Badgers in 2019. However, the Huskers are coming off their most complete performance of the season with a sweep of No. 5 Minnesota on Sunday.

“If we play like we’ve been training, like we did Sunday, we’re a pretty good team,” Cook said.

The Huskers and Wisconsin get underway Friday night at 8:00 p.m. followed by an 8:00 p.m. start on Saturday as well. Both matches will be aired on BTN.
