LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Hy-Vee on Tuesday announced it will no longer required fully vaccinated customers or employees to wear masks.

However, the change does not apply to places with local ordinances that require masks, such as Lincoln and Lancaster County.

The company said it does continue to strongly recommend customers who are not vaccinated to wear masks, and will require non-vaccinated employees to wear them.

Hy-Vee stores will continue to implement other measures regarding the virus, including use of Plexiglass barriers.
