Hy-Vee offering COVID-19 vaccinations in Lincoln

Lincoln residents may soon be able to receive a COVID-19 vaccine at a local Hy-Vee.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln residents can now receive a COVID-19 vaccine at a local Hy-Vee.

A Hy-Vee spokesperson told Channel 8 Eyewitness News the company is expanding its vaccination offerings to all Hy-Vee pharmacy locations in Nebraska as part of the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program.

Vaccinations in Lincoln began Wednesday.

Hy-Vee has already been vaccinating at a few Hy-Vee pharmacy locations in Douglas, Sarpy and Cass counties for a little more than a month with county vaccine allocations, the spokeswoman said.

Hy-Vee’s website has a sign up option but, as of Wednesday afternoon, no appointments were available at any participating Lincoln locations.
